Your agency portal address

Who this is for

Agency Owners managing how clients and partners find and experience the Koffyr portal. You need Owner access to change the portal address or connect a custom domain.

Before you start

  • Your agency handle is set from Settings → Organization. It must be 3–64 characters, lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only (e.g., acme-insurance). Handles are unique across all Koffyr agencies.
  • Custom domains require a Core plan.

Step-by-step

Check and update your handle:

  1. Open Settings → Branding.
  2. In the Subdomain section, type a new handle in the field — Koffyr shows a live availability indicator as you type.
  3. When you find an available handle, click Save. Your portal address becomes <handle>.koffyr.com.

Connect a custom domain (Core plan):

  1. In Settings → Branding, scroll to Custom domain.
  2. Enter the domain you want to use (e.g., portal.youragency.com) and click Continue.
  3. Koffyr shows a CNAME record. Add that CNAME in your DNS registrar’s control panel.
  4. Click Verify — Koffyr checks your DNS and provisions a TLS certificate automatically. DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate.

Install the portal as an app:

  1. On any page in the portal, look for the Add to home screen banner at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Click Install and follow your browser or device prompts. The portal loads in standalone mode without browser chrome.

What happens next

  • Once your handle is saved, your entire portal is accessible at <handle>.koffyr.com. All previously shared links continue to work.
  • Once a custom domain is verified, your agency’s portal loads at your own domain address. Koffyr handles TLS renewal automatically.
  • The installed app caches key views for offline browsing. It checks for updates automatically when you reconnect.
  • Every issued COI PDF includes your agency’s display name in the producer label, so certificate holders can identify your agency.

Troubleshooting

“Handle already taken.” Try adding a city, state, or year suffix (e.g., acme-insurance-tx).

“DNS verification failed.” DNS propagation can take up to 24 hours. Wait and click Verify again. Make sure the CNAME record points exactly to the value Koffyr shows — no trailing spaces or extra characters.

The install prompt did not appear. The install prompt only shows in supported browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari on iOS 16.4+) when the app is not already installed. Try opening the portal in a supported browser.
