Appearance preferences

Who this is for

All Koffyr users who want to adjust how the portal looks and feels. Appearance preferences are personal — changes here affect only your own view, not your teammates’.

Before you start

No special setup is required. Appearance preferences are available to all signed-in users.

Step-by-step

Sign in and click Settings in the left sidebar.
Select Appearance under the Personal section of the settings navigation rail.
Adjust any of the following settings. A live preview strip at the top of the page updates as you make changes:

Display density:

Cozy — more whitespace; easier to read at a glance.
Comfortable — balanced spacing (default).
Compact — tighter rows; more content visible at once.

Sidebar mode:

Pinned — the sidebar stays expanded at full width.
Auto-collapse — the sidebar collapses to an icon rail when not in focus.

Time format:

12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour.

Date format:

US — MM/DD/YYYY.
ISO — YYYY-MM-DD.
EU — DD/MM/YYYY.

Your choices are saved automatically — there is no separate Save button.

What happens next

Preferences take effect immediately across the portal. They are saved to your browser (via cookie) and will apply the next time you sign in on the same device.

Note. Appearance preferences are device-specific. Changing your settings on one computer does not affect how the portal looks on another device.

Troubleshooting

My preferences reset after a browser update or clearing cookies. Appearance preferences are stored as a browser cookie (kf-appearance-prefs). Clearing cookies or using a private/incognito window will reset them to defaults.

The live preview doesn’t update. Try refreshing the page. If the preview still doesn’t respond, check that JavaScript is enabled in your browser.
