Navigating the Koffyr portal
Who this is for
Section titled “Who this is for”All Koffyr users — agents, managers, and owners — learning how the portal is laid out and how to move around it quickly.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”No special setup is required. The portal shell is the same for everyone on the team.
Step-by-step
Section titled “Step-by-step”Find any record quickly:
- Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) from anywhere in the portal. A command palette opens.
- Start typing — results update as you type, pulling from insureds, requests, and documents already loaded in your session.
- Click a result or press Enter to open it.
Start a new request:
- Click + New request in the top bar.
- Pick the process type from the menu: Renewal, Intake, Certificate, Endorsement, or Other. Koffyr takes you directly to the entry page for that process.
Check what needs your attention:
- Look for the bell icon in the top bar. A copper badge appears when you have unread activity.
- Click the bell to preview your five most recent events. Click View all to open the full Notifications page.
Collapse or expand the sidebar:
- Click the arrow handle at the bottom of the sidebar to toggle between the full 224-pixel panel and the compact 64-pixel icon rail.
- Your preference is saved automatically — the sidebar stays in whichever state you chose the next time you open the portal.
Change your theme:
- Open Settings → Personal → Appearance.
- Choose System (matches your OS), Light, or Dark. The portal updates immediately.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”- Search results are drawn from data already in your browser — if a record was loaded recently, it appears instantly. Data not yet in your session will not appear in search results; navigate directly to the relevant page in that case.
- Notification unread state resets automatically once you view the Notifications page.
- Theme preference is tied to your browser profile, not your Koffyr account — changing it on one device does not affect other devices.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”⌘K opens my browser’s address bar instead. Your browser may have captured the keyboard shortcut. Try clicking inside the portal page first to give it focus, then press ⌘K again.
The sidebar is hidden on mobile. The collapsible sidebar targets desktop browsers. On smaller screens the sidebar is accessible via the menu button that appears in the top bar.
I don’t see the Appearance page. Go to Settings → Personal → Appearance using the Personal section of the Settings navigation rail.
