Built because the COI desk
shouldn't cost 2 days a week.
Koffyr is a branded client-intake portal for independent P&C agencies. We built it because the tools that existed were either enterprise-priced or AMS-locked — and the agencies doing the most COI work were priced out of both.
Why this problem, why now.
We started by shadowing CSRs at independent commercial-lines agencies — sitting next to them on Thursdays and Fridays, watching what they actually spent time on. The pattern was unmistakable: COI requests land in batches, they land at the worst possible moments, and they fall on the same people who are supposed to be working renewals.
The software on the market was either an AMS cert module (works only if you're already all-in on that AMS) or an enterprise product priced for carriers and large brokerages. A 10-person commercial agency didn't have a good option. Koffyr is what we built for them.
We talked to E&O underwriters. We mapped what ACORD 25 and 27 actually require. We built a native e-signature runtime instead of layering DocuSign on top of a workflow that shouldn't need it. The result is a platform where a CSR can issue a COI in under 90 seconds — and every action is stamped, auditable, and exportable for the E&O renewal.
How we build.
These aren't aspirations. They're constraints we hold ourselves to in every feature decision, pricing update, and changelog entry.
The agency doing the work, not the requester making demands, is our customer. Every design decision starts there.
We publish a live changelog and keep this site in sync with what you can actually use today — not a vision deck.
Four tiers, published. No "contact sales to see if you qualify." The rate you start at is the rate you keep as a founding agency.
Every action in the platform is stamped, tamper-evident, and exportable. If your E&O carrier asks, you have the receipts.
Built inside Valtio Inc.
Valtio Inc. is the holding company. Koffyr is the insurance vertical — run as its own product, priced for the small-agency market, and accountable to its own customers. The two entities share a small operations footprint; the product decision-making is entirely Koffyr's.
The platform vision is broader than certificates. COI issuance is the wedge because it's the most painful, highest-frequency workflow in a commercial-lines agency — but the same branded portal, the same audit trail, and the same e-sign runtime already power Renewal Intake, New Business Intake, and Endorsements. Loss Runs is on the future roadmap. We're building toward a single portal where an insured can do everything their agency needs from them, and every action is documented well enough to survive an E&O inquiry.
Talk to the founder — directly.
We're accepting a small founding cohort right now. 10 spots. If you're a commercial-lines agency spending serious CSR time on COIs, that's the right conversation to have.
